Chat and account access are different
You can use Chat With Support on these help pages or Contact Support in the app’s cog menu without granting account access. A chat conversation does not automatically let Support operate through your account.
Temporary access is a separate approval you control in Account Support, reached from the Support page in your Account Settings navigation.
Understand what you are approving
Support access applies to your personal account and every Profile you belong to. You cannot restrict a grant to just the Profile selected in settings. It allows authorized Paperstac administrators to use supported product workflows with the access your memberships provide.
This is not read-only access. Supported actions can include placing or retracting bids, launching auctions, signing documents, changing wire instructions and approving closing work, subject to the same permissions and workflow checks that apply to you.
Support mode cannot change your sign-in credentials, email or phone, perform identity verification, change payment methods or integration credentials, accept legal terms, or delete your personal account. Grant access only when you understand its scope and want Support to help through your account.
Grant access or respond to a request
- Sign in as yourself and open Account Support.
- Use the grant-access action when no access is active, or review a pending Support request.
- Read the confirmation and approve only if you want to grant access. You can deny a request without granting access.
- Check Current Support Access for the active period and expiry.
A pending request alone grants no access. An approved or self-initiated grant lasts seven days unless revoked early. It authorizes the Paperstac administrator role, not only the individual who requested it. Requests also expire after seven days if not handled.
Revoke access when you are finished
Return to Account Support and use the revoke action on the active grant. Revocation ends authorization for subsequent support requests; it does not undo actions already completed during the access period.
You can have only one active grant at a time. Expired or revoked grants are not extended or reactivated; a later support session needs a new grant.
Review the access history
Use Support Access History to review previous periods and open their details. The history records access events and successfully completed support actions, with Support identifiers rather than individual administrators’ personal contact details.
If you are unsure about an action or the access scope, chat with Support before granting access, or revoke active access while you investigate.
Need a hand?
If you cannot complete these steps, tell Support which page you are on and what happened.
